The Lightings Protect Cultural Relics Murals Effectively
Project Background
The Patriarchal Cathedral, based in Bucharest, with its long-standing history and remarkable cultural heritage murals, is a place of worship and a repository of invaluable art.
However, as the need for filming within the church grew, the potential harm of lighting to the murals became a significant concern. Prolonged exposure to high-intensity light could lead to fading, peeling, and even structural damage to the murals.
SWIT Lighting Solution
The SWIT Professional Studio Lights has been tested and certificated as “Exempt - No Photobiological Hazard” by the IEC 62471:2008 standard. After multiple communications, lighting layout design, and testing, 20+ of SWIT 150W SMD-LED Panel lights were successfully installed in the Patriarchal Cathedral, offering the soft, uniform, photobiological safe lighting solution for in-church video productions. The long-term monitoring has shown no signs of fading or damage to the cultural heritage murals under the illumination of SWIT lights. This fully demonstrates the photobiological safety features of SWIT studio lights, providing reliable protection for the murals.
